Meaning that my visit to Ikea provided me with fabrics for two kimonos. The fabrics are Berta Ruta (big patterned) to make this kimono:
And Sofia (small striped), to make this kimono:
I have already made the Sofia kimono (but forgot to update. Boo on me).
I gotta say that the Gods of Pattern Alignment were with me as the center front seam blends flawlesly into the pattern, as do the seams between the body and sleeves. All in all, I'm very happy about how this came out.

Getting back to bussiness
Winter is slow and practicly nothing happens in terms of sewing for me. Even with my D-vitamin everyday, I'm still very tired during winter due to the lack of sunlight. But spring is here and summer sewings are about to begin.
What you will be seeing at some point are:
- Abaddon
I found a beautiful wool/rayon blend material to make this dress. Too bad that since the fabric is rather high quality, I'm not gonna pour fake blood on it. So if I want to make the bloody version, I need to find a cheaper fabric.
- Meg Masters
Season 5 Meg. I love this costume and how it suits Meg. I'm gonna go through hell of a time trying to find a suitable leather jacket (because I'm lazy and don't feel like sewing leather).
- My Little Pony Grand Galloping Gala humanized.
I promised a friend to arrange her a big birthday party. Not all the ponies will probably be present, but for now we have confirmation on Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Princess Celestia. There was talk about Pinkie Pie, and I have reference/early scetches of her costume, but then she was discarded. I might publish those aswell as soon as we start making the costumes.

There are things you should not do....
..... while you are sewing.
Today I discovered another thing I should not do while attempting to sew: Watch the Hollow Crown. So much for that sewing I promise you! I didn't get anything done, except staring the tv with my current project in my hands barely remembering it. I mostly blame this on Jeremy Irons and Tom Hiddleston, why must you two be so damn good?! Those two have voices that are liquid honey and you just have to stare at the screen. Whoever did the casting, YOU DID YOUR JOB MORE THAN WELL!
I never thought I'd be so tranced by watching Shakespeare. I like his plays, but to my shame I have never seen them on stage or screen. Now I have and I'm in love.
But I have to watch something else while sewing othervice I will never get these projects done!
Back to sewing. Lucrezia and the others awaits!
PS. If you haven't seen the Hollow Crown: Do it.
PPS. I finally got the material for the shirts. Things start to happen now.
Ok, random post over. Sorry about this.
